May 2016:

Jasper County Detention Center has been faced with a challenge that we were not expecting, Tropical Storm Bonnie entered the County where we experienced flooded roads, buildings, and cars. Inmates were transported to different facilities during the time of Tropical storm Bonnie.

 October 2016:

During Hurricane Matthew our staff at Jasper County Detention Center was ordered to maintain our 24hr daily operation while being separated from families due to the evacuation order that was given from Governor Nikki Haley. During this time we were able to come together and accomplish a goal to maintain the safety and security of the staff and inmates.
